Happy news for Warhammer fans: just half a year after the release of Space Marine 2, a third part has already been announced.
Today may not be Christmas, but several good things are happening at once. The Steam Spring Sale 2025 has started, the huge patch 1.2 makes the already great Kingdom Come 2 even better, and now Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 has been announced!
Not even half a year after the release of Space Marine 2, developer Saber Interactive is giving neither itself nor the Tyranids a break. Many of you might be pleased about this, but then again, you’re not Tyranids, are you?
This is what we already know about Space Marine 3
To be honest, despite the official announcement, not much is known about Space Marine 3 yet. Since Captain Titus is looking as grim as ever in the only teaser image released so far – see above – we can be pretty sure that we will be able to slip into his armor again.
So far, however, there is no release date, no screenshots and no gameplay material in the form of a trailer.
But as always, we go the extra mile for you. That’s why we put on our reading glasses and waded through pages and pages of PR blah-blah to extract a few scraps of info for you:
- campaign: Space Marine 3 will be an
immersive campaign
, so the focus is once again on a single-player experience. - Multiplayer: However, a multiplayer mode has also been confirmed at the same time as the announcement. The team is remaining silent on modes and other details.
- Spectacle: The battlefields are to take on even more epic proportions. The aim is to take the genre to a new level, set new standards for action, etc., etc. In short, things are going to get hot again and plenty of Tyranid blood will flow.
To celebrate the announcement of Space Marine 3, let’s watch the gripping short film of its predecessor, shall we?
Bye, bye, Space Marine 2? No, don’t worry!
Those who are now worried that their Space Marine 2, not even covered with a delicate layer of dust, will be pushed onto the sidings, can breathe a sigh of relief. In the wake of the announcement of Space Marine 3, the development team emphasized that the popular and, with over five million copies sold, highly successful predecessor will continue to be provided with new content for several years to come
This is not surprising at all. After all, it will probably take at least two, if not three, years before Space Marine 3 is released. So there’s plenty of time for the sparks to fly in part 2!
Man, what a day! We’re excited to see if anything else happens in the late evening hours. A new trailer for GTA 6? The announcement of Half-Life 3? The shadow drop of The Elder Scrolls 6? The announcement of Nintendo games for the PC?
We are prepared for anything. But tell me something: How do you feel about the announcement of Space Marine 3? Are you excited or did the predecessor disappoint you? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
