Thirteen months after its release, the time has come for Starfield to get its first major expansion. Shattered Space lets us explore the brand new planet Va’ruun’kai and promises to be very different from the main game.

Release time: When exactly will Shattered Space be released?
In Germany, you can play Shattered Space from September 30 at 5:00 p.m. local time. This is revealed by the official release calendar, which also shows the times in other regions:
Preload: Can I download the add-on in advance?
Apparently there is no preload on either PC or Xbox.You have to wait until the official release to download Shattered Space.
Download: How much do I have to download?
On the Xbox, the size of the expansion is given as 14 gigabytes.The download size on the PC will probably only differ slightly from this.
Price: How much does the expansion cost?
Shattered Space costs 30 euros. However, the expansion is also included in the Premium Edition of Starfield. If you own it, Shattered Space is already in your library. If you play via Game Pass, you have to buy the expansion separately.
For 35 euros, you can also purchase the premium upgrade for Starfield. In addition to the expansion, you will also receive a digital art book, some skins, and 1,000 creation credits for paid mods.

However, the developers recommend using a character who is at least level 35.
To start the add-on, you simply have to make a grav-jump to an area that is not used by a quest or an encounter. You will then receive a distress call and discover a space station.
