Based on Blade Runner and Cyberpunk 2077, the Unreal Engine 5 demo Cyber Streets is now available for download.
Almost 15 years ago, Epic Games impressively demonstrated the power of Unreal Engine 3 with its Samaritan demo.
Based on this, as well as CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 and the movie Blade Runner, Pasquale Scionti has released a tech demo in the latest version of Unreal Engine 5.
In detail:
- Cyber Streets Tech Demo is based on Unreal Engine 5.5.3.
- The download has a size of 11 gigabytes.
- The developer relies on dynamic lighting effects for the demo.
The following video shows what you can expect from the demo.
The developer emphasizes that he has deliberately avoided using many technologies such as Lumen, Path Tracing, RTX, DLSS or Baked Lightning.
However, the demo does use post-processing effects such as dynamic lighting effects with ambient occlusion and screen space reflection.
According to the artist, the demo runs at 150 to 200 FPS on an RTX 4090 at 3K Epic settings. It should also run at 55 to 60 FPS on 1280×720 at Epic settings on an Asus ROG Ally.
This is how you can try out the demo yourself
