All important information about the release of Black Ops 6
Preload for all platforms
You can download the game a few days before launch. Preload for all platforms starts on October 21, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. German time
Download size
Concrete download sizes for the individual platforms are not yet known. However, it can be expected to be around 80 GB, provided you have already installed Call of Duty Headquarter.
Black Ops 6 is, like its predecessors, an update to CoD HQ, so you can install or uninstall the packages for campaign, multiplayer and zombie mode individually as usual.
For the PC, however, there are already official system requirements. These state that Black Ops 6 will require 102 GB of storage space at launch.
Release times for all platforms
There are some differences for the release and thus also the start times of the servers, depending on the platform:
- PlayStation, Xbox and PC (Microsoft Store only) – Start time: October 25, 2024 at00:00 German time
- PC (Battle.net and Steam) – Start time: October 25, 2024 at06:00 a.m. German time
Since the console version will be released at midnight in every time zone, New Zealand will once again be several hours ahead of all other countries. This means that the trick of changing the time zone on the end device may work again, as it did for some of its predecessors.
Will beta progress be carried over?
No, even if you have played in the beta up to level 30, you will start at the beginning again on October 25. However, some skins, double XP tokens and other cosmetics for Black Ops 6 could be earned during the beta, which you are of course allowed to keep.
With this information, you are well prepared for the launch of Black Ops 6 next week.
